| Assalaamu Alaikum |
It is and has been an honor to represent my Muslim brothers and sisters in New Hampshire. I would personally like to thank everyone for taking the time to learn something about our community. |
For the past twenty years our community has grown substantially, but it is slowly losing its unique Muslim identity. I have seen a generation of Muslim children grow without the proper Islamic foundation. That is a tragedy many of us are facing as parents. A Masjid with an Islamic school can help our children to be educated on Deen and thereby rescue our children from this tragedy. |
As Muslim immigrants, living in the United States, our social activities are often compromised. I have noted that finding and spending time with family and friends is not easy due to our busy schedules. We do not see the kind of friendships we enjoyed “back home”. We came here to make a future for ourselves and for our children and unfortunately in the process; many of us have lost that special time we used to share with our loved ones. A Masjid can provide that opportunity again. |
How wonderful it would be to have a permanent place that we can call our own and share it with our loved ones. Like other Muslim communities around the nation, the Islamic Society of Greater Manchester (ISGM) has taken a leadership role in building relationships with its neighbors. For the past three years, ISGM has become the conduit through which Muslims have been able to voice their opinion. It's important to note that since New Hampshire citizens are the first to vote in the nation's primary, it gives ISGM an added responsibility to speak on behalf of the Muslim community. With a Masjid of our own, we will be in a better position to represent the Muslims. |
For these apparent reasons, it has become necessary to begin the process of building a Masjid. This Muslim community needs your financial support to fulfill the dream of building the first House of Allah in New Hampshire. May Allah reward you for your generosity. |
